PeroxiMar – Peroxidases from marine macroalgae for the improvement of molecular biological measurement methods

Contact Person:

Dr. Levent Piker

Project:

The aim of the project is the identification, isolation and characterization of usable peroxidases from marine algae for use in test systems in cosmetics and food industry as well as biotechnology. An important goal criterion is the improvement of the properties in laboratory practice, such as: B. high stability to H2O2. For this purpose, their peroxidases are to be isolated and characterized in various algae.

Tasks of CRM:

In addition to project management, CRM is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Quality and data management
  • Supply Chain
  • Processing of algae
  • Detection of algae peroxidases
  • Product development

Tasks of the project partner:

The cooperation partner Center for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ZBM) has the following tasks:

  • Extraction of the enzymesCharacterization of the enzymes
  • Molecular genetic characterization of the enzymes
